In addition to our regular majors and minors, Central Missouri offers academic preparation for students who plan to attend professional schools in such areas as dentistry, law, medicine, optometry, osteopathy, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, and wildlife biology and forestry.
Students interested in the premedical, pre-osteopathy, or pre-veterinary medicine programs should plan to attend the university for four years and graduate with a bachelor of science degree. Pre-law students should plan to obtain a bachelor's degree in the major of their choice (see catalog). Students interested in pre-dental, pre-optometry, or pre-physical therapy should attend the university for two or more years to meet the minimum requirements in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics required by professional schools.
