Mission Statement
The School of Accountancy prepares our graduates to be successful in Accountancy through outcomes-based, performance-oriented instruction. The School encourages faculty involvement in applied and instructional research and professional service to enhance student learning and maintain a curriculum that is responsive to a dynamic profession. In addition, the School of Accountancy provides instructional support for the accounting needs of the MBA and other college and university programs.
Master of Arts in Accountancy Mission Statement
The Master of Arts in Accountancy degree program supports the university and college missions by providing specialized advanced training in accounting and complementary fields. The program serves students with undergraduate backgrounds in accounting. The program is designed to meet the guidelines established by the accounting profession and the state of Missouri to sit for Certified Public Accountants examination. The program seeks to meet the educational needs of students, employers, and citizens of Missouri with extended responsibility to meet national and international needs.
Master of Business Administration--Accounting Concentration Mission Statement
The MBA degree program supports the university and college missions by providing advanced training in business and management. The program serves a diverse body of students with a variety of undergraduate degrees and backgrounds. The accounting concentration serves students desiring additional accounting exposure to complement their advanced training in business and management. The program seeks to meet the educational needs of students, employers, and citizens of Missouri with extended responsibility to meet national and international needs.
