Can I Get Admitted?

Do you want to get started on a successful future but don’t know where to begin? You have considered college but the forms, deadlines and decisions are a bit daunting. Don’t sweat it—just follow these helpful guidelines and before you know it you’ll be walking through the doors of your first University of Central Missouri classroom.

For new students
Admission of a first-year student is based on a combination of

ACT/SAT score, class rank and GPA. To be admitted to UCM, you need to have completed the 24-unit Missouri college preparatory curriculum and have a high school GPA of 2.0 In addition, you need either:

For transfer students
Transfer students who have completed at least 24 hours of transferable college-level coursework must have:

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Transfer students who have completed less than 24 credit hours will be considered for admission on the basis of the first-year student admission requirements, in addition to all completed college work.
