TRIO-SSS University Study Techniques Course

University Study Techniques (UST) 3 semester hours

Students literally "get their heads into learning" in this course - developing scholarly habits as critical thinkers and active, independent learners.

AE 1112 – UST helps students increase general and academic vocabularies, improve textbook comprehension and critical thinking, and develop university-level study habits. UST is an elective credit, meets Planned Placement requirement, and substitutes for AE 1820.  And it’s FREE!

Note: Students also must

  1. enroll in a prescribed General Education course (NOT a TRIO course; you pay for it).
  2. attend a UST Lab which provides guided application of UST study strategies in the General Education course (the Lab is FREE).
