1970 - 1979
Tommy Fields, Jr. '73 was recognized by Leaders Across America magazine as a Top 100 Industry Expert in America. He was also recognized as Executive of the Year for 2013 by Covington Who's Who and as their featured member recipient in 2013. He is a strategic planner for the United States Army, Threat Systems Management office. He resides in Huntsville, Ala.
Barb (Conte) Dater '77 received the Public Employee Recognition Distinguished Community Service Award May 7 at a ceremony honoring all the winners from the federal, state, Jackson County, Kansas City area and Kansas City government agencies. She resides in Grandview, Mo.
1980 - 1989
Don Watt '81 received a commemorative plaque from the Nebraska State Athlete Trainers Association for 20 years of service. He is a professor at Chadron State College and has been the college's athletic trainer since 1994. He and his wife, Jana, have two children and three grandchildren.
William Jensen '84, along with a team of his colleagues, was presented the Top Industry Practice Award from the Nuclear Energy Institute at the Nuclear Industry Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 20. The team was involved in the inspection of the internal components of the Point Beach Unit 1 reactor with one-of-a-kind technology. He resides in Manitowoc, Wis.
Annette (Lewis) Lowrey '87 is the 2014 recipient of the VFW District 1 and the Gallatin Frazier Post 2172 High School Teacher of the Year award. She teaches 7-12 grade social studies at North Daviess R-III in Jameson, Mo.
