College Student Personnel Administration Faculty
Dr. Bowman is the Coordinator of the College Student Personnel Administration program. He holds a doctorate in College Student Affairs from Purdue University and a masters degree in counseling from the University of Evansville. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. His professional work experiences have included residence life, counseling centers, and student activities. His teaching assignments include practica and internships, legal issues in higher education, personnel administration, history of higher education and assessment. He has numerous publications and presentations at state, regional, and national conferences in the counseling and student affairs fields, and he is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of College Student Development, College Student Affairs Journal, Student Affairs Journal --Online, and the Journal for Specialists in Group Work. His research interests include resident assistant training, counselor training, technology in student affairs, and several other topics.
