 
Four members of the Mules received "All-American" recognition by the American
Baseball Coaches Association. Jason Herz (37), who tied a CMSU single
season record with 14 wins, is a first-team selection. Shortstop Craig
Ringe (3), who established eight CMSU & MIAA career records this season, was

Craig Ringe and Jason Herz have been named the Central
Region "Position Player of the Year" and "Pitcher of the Year" respectively
by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Both are 1st team
selections on the All-Region squad that includes seven Mules' players.
Joining Ringe and Herz on the 1st team are Boomer Berry, Zach Norman, and
Joe Strada. 2nd Team All-Region picks from CMSU are Chris Umphres and
P.J. McGinnis.

Ring and Herz also shared the MIAA Most Valuable Player award for
the 2002 season. The seniors were two of seven Mules' players
receiving first-team recognition on the 2002 All-MIAA Baseball Team, in a
vote of the league coaches. Also named to the first team: P.J.
McGinnis, Chris Umphres, Boomer Berry, Zach Norman, and Joe Strada.
