2005 All-Central Region Baseball Team announced
The 2005 American Baseball Coaches Association All-Central Region Baseball Team has been announced, featuring 15 players who took part in this weekend’s NCAA Division II Central Region Baseball Tournament. Voting was conducted by the baseball coaches of the conferences in the Central Region—the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, North Central Conference, and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
Central Missouri State University had the most first-team selections, with five. The Mules also had the unanimous choice as Central Region Pitcher of the Year in senior righthander Danny Powers and the Central Region Player of the Year in senior shortstop Shawn Callahan. Powers and Callahan are automatically named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-America Team.
