Mules baseball assistants get the call
With success, comes opportunity. The University of Central Missouri baseball squad has been the most successful in this millennium. It has had 15 players since 2000 in the minor league ranks and it was just a matter of time before its coaches started getting those opportunities.
Assistant coach Kevin Cullen has taken a position as a professional scout with the Cleveland Indians in Dallas, Texas. He has been on the staff since the summer and came to UCM after a stint at the University of Missouri.
Former Mules assistant Steve Miller has also taken a position with a major league team. He is a scout with the Toronto Blue Jays in Chicago, Ill. Miller was the Mules hitting coach and recruiting coordinator for the past three seasons.
