Collins drafted by Oakland A's
University of Central Missouri junior relief pitcher Bryan Collins was selected in the 32nd round of the Major League Baseball Draft on Friday by the Oakland A's. He was the 10th player drafted in the last four seasons under Mules head coach Darin Hendrickson.
Collins, a first-team All-MIAA and All-Region closer for the Mules, finished the season with six saves, a 3-0 record, and a 1.42 ERA. He also recorded 45 strikeouts in 31.2 innings and opposing batters hit only .157 against him. He was the 988th selection overall.
