Mules Golf has Three on All-MIAA Squad

The Central Missouri State golf team had three players earn All-MIAA honors this week after a third place finish in the conference.

Sophomore Jon Sauer made his second appearance in as many seasons on the squad while junior Danny Markham and freshman Ty Needles made their debut.

Sauer was the only non-Missouri Western (MIAA Champs) player to get maximum points in an MIAA event this year.

The All-MIAA Team is selected based on a point system determined by the players' finish at the five conference-sanctioned events played this season - two in the fall and three in the spring. The lowest scorer in each meet is awarded 10 points, while the 10th lowest is given one point. This is the ninth season the system has been used to determine the honorees. This season, 11 players were honored due to a tie.
