Mules wrapped up play at the NCAA-II Central/Great Lakes Super Regional on Wednesday at the Prairie Bluff Golf Club in Lockport, Illinois.  The Mules finished the three-round event with a team score of 17-over-par 881 and was in third place. 
Individually, Jon Sauer fired a one-under-par 71 on Wednesday to finish in second place with a final score of one-under-par 215, but a rule clarification indicates that he will not qualify for the NCAA-II National Championships was first believed.

Mules finished third at the MIAA championship meet that concluded last Tuesday at the Country Club of Blue Springs, Missouri.  The Mules team score of 893 was seven strokes behind second place, and defending champion Washburn (Kan.) University, and 18 shots off the pace of Missouri Western State University, who claimed the title and had the individual medalist in Brice Garnett.  His 54-hole total of 212 edged the Mules' Jon Sauer (215) for the top spot.  Sauer's second place finish was one of three, top-ten finishes for CMSU with Adam Frank in seventh (223) and Danny Markham tied for 10th (225).    CMSU Recap  /  Final Results

Mules have signed Clay Ederer from Pleasant Hill (Mo.) High School to a letter of intent.  Ederer will join the Mules for the 2006-2007 school year after completing an outstanding high school career at Pleasant Hill, where he competed in the state championships each of his four years.
