Mules Golf takes Second at MIAA Championships

                The University of Central Missouri Mules Golf squad sat in fourth after the first day of the MIAA Championships at Branson Creek Golf Course but improved their score by 25 strokes on day two for a second place overall finish.
            The Mules also took second in the MIAA regular season race behind Washburn, who won every conference meet of the season. Central Missouri had three second place finishes this season.
            The Mules finished their first round with a five-man total of 310 on the par 71 course. They concluded day one by shooting a nine-hole total of 153. They came out on the final day and started with a 293 and finished with a 145 on the nine-hole portion of the schedule. Their final score of 901 was 12 strokes better than third place Missouri Western but 29 off the 872 total of WU.
            Individually, Ty Needles was the Mules top finisher at third with a 223 while Jon Wrast was tied for seventh at 225. Danny Markham (228) and Justin Yoder (229) rounded out the top 20 for UCM.
