Mules win final fall event in Bolivar
The Mules wrapped up the fall portion of their 08-09 schedule on Tuesday (Oct. 7th) by capturing the championship of the Southwest Baptist Invitational in Bolivar, Missouri. The Mules came from seven strokes off the lead after the first round Monday to claim the team title by three shots over the host Bearcats. Justin Yoder fired his second straight one-under-par 71 to tie for the individual lead, while Ty Needels blazed the course with a four-under-par 68 on Tuesday to finish in fourth place...Recap »
The Mules won both of the MIAA sanctioned events during the fall, and will enter the spring portion of the 08-09 schedule on top in the league race.

Matt Miller, a member of the Mules 07-08 squad, finished fourth at the Missouri Amateur Stroke Play Championship, July 16-18th. Miller, who will be a sophomore during the 08-09 school year, finished with a three-under-par 285 score over four rounds. The Eldon, Mo., native fashioned a 65 in the third round to tie the course record at the Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield. Two other Mules golfers were also involved in the event (Stefan Ballage - tied for 27th and Zach VanDolah - tied for 43rd) Results
Two members of the Mules 07-08 golf squad were involved in the Missouri Amateur Championship event in O'Fallon, Mo., during the summer. Stefan Ballage and Matt Miller advanced to the round of 64 for match play, winning their first match, before falling in the round of 32.
