Jennies
volleyball dropped a 3-0 decision Wednesday evening to the fifth-ranked Washburn Lady Blues in Topeka, Kan., and suffered their second consecutive
MIAA
match defeat in the process. Brooke Butler had 11 kills, while Amber Yoder added 10 kills, to lead the UCM attack. The Jennies, who fell to
ninth in the latest CSTV/AVCA D-II Poll, see their record in the conference drop to 6-3 and their overall mark slips to
20-4 overall. Jennies will take a break from league action when they travel to Arkadelphia, Ark., this Friday and Saturday to take part in the Henderson State Tournament. They will open play on Friday afternoon with a match against Alabama-Huntsville at 1 p.m.

Mules
golf
had to settle for a second place finish at the
Fort Hays State Invitational
in Hays, Kan., on Tuesday, despite shaving six strokes off their team
score of 292 on Monday. Washburn still shot four strokes better
than the UCM mark of 286 on Tuesday to overtake the Mules and claim the
team title by two strokes. Justin Yoder led the Mules in the final
MIAA sanctioned
event of the fall with a two round total of two-under-par 140, good
enough for second place.

Jennies soccer
has
jumped two spots to fifth in the new
D-II Poll,
and continues to hold down the top position in the latest
Central Regional rankings,
as they get set to host a pair of MIAA
matches this week. The Jennies, are coming off a
5-0 victory over Missouri Western
last Thursday evening at the South Recreation Complex, will host
Southwest Baptist on Friday evening at 7 o'clock. The Jennies will
take a league leading 7-0-1
record into that match, while their overall mark is
9-1-2.

Mules
football
rolled to a 38-7 victory over the Emporia State Hornets on Saturday in Emporia, Kansas. Eric Czerniewski tossed a pair of touchdown passes, including one to Glen Milner, who also added a rushing touchdown on his way to 109 yards on the ground to lead the Mules offensive attack. The UCM defense held ESU to just under 100 yards in total offense in the second half, as the Mules improve their record in the
MIAA to 3-1 and 4-2 overall. Saturday's victory was the 79th for head coach Willie Fritz and makes him the winningest coach in Mules football history.

The Mules travel to Maryville, Mo., this Saturday to take on the
Northwest Missouri State Bearcats at 1 p.m.

Notes Mules fans can still get reserved tickets to the game for $12.00 through
the UCM ticket office, room 101 of the Multipurpose Building, or by
calling 660-543-4063 by 5:00 p.m. Thursday. No tickets will be sold by
UCM after that point. All general admission tickets for the game are
standing room only.

Homecoming festivities at UCM, all former Mules football players,
coaches, and other team personnel are invited to a reception in the
Markey Lobby of Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field on Friday evening, October
19th. The reception starts at 7 p.m., with refreshments served.

squads
finished in third and fourth place respectively at the Border Wars event
Saturday in Edwardsville, Illinois. Adam Akers placed fourth to
lead the Mules effort...Men's
Results, while Sandy Davidson had the top performance for the
Jennies with a 14th place individual finish...Women's

Championships on Saturday, October 20th, in Kirksville, Missouri.

Registration headquarters is the main ticket office (room 101) at the
