Jennies take care of Harris-Stowe, 92-38


       The 19th ranked Jennies basketball squad rolled to a 92-38 victory over Harris-Stowe College on Wednesday evening at the Multipurpose Building.

       Central Missouri (6-1) jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first six minutes of the game thanks to a combined 11 points from Tiffany Vincent (Overland Park, Kan.) and Cydney Franklin (Bellvue, Neb.). By halftime, the Jens had a 25 point lead, shooting a blistering 54 percent from the floor.

       The Jennies ran to an 11-2 start in the second period. They cruised the rest of the way as every player on the team scored. Central Missouri set the tone on defense as it forced 29 turnovers on 19 steals and held HSC to 22 percent shooting. Vincent led the charge on the offensive end with 20 points and eight boards while Lindsey Maple (Knob Noster, Mo.) tallied 16 and had four steals. Franklin ended the night with 11 points and seven rebounds. The only player in double figures for the Hornets was Shatyne Hearn with 11.

       Ashley Millham (Jackson, Mo.) continued her play as she dished out five assists and had no turnovers. As a team, the Jennies had an assist to turnover ratio of 24-to 13.
