Jennies Sign Two Recruits for Next Season

Warrensburg, Mo. (Nov. 28, 2000) -- Central Missouri State University women's basketball coach Scott Ballard has announced the signing of two recruits to National Letters of Intent for the 2001-02 season during the recent NCAA early signing period earlier this month.

Joining the Jennies for next season will be Bethany Orendorff, a 6' 0" forward from Doniphan (Mo.) High School, and Kinsey Lehe (pronounced LAY-he), a 5' 8" guard from Frontier High School in Chalmers, Ind.

Orendorff has been a two-time all-state selection at Doniphan. Last season as a junior she averaged 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 3.0 assists per game in leading the school to a 23-4 record.

A third-team all-state selection as a junior last season, Lehe averaged 23.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.8 steals and 5.4 assists for Frontier's 16-4 team. She also was conference player of the year in volleyball this fall.

The Jennies are in their sixth season under Ballard. They produced a 22-7 record last year that earned them an NCAA regional bid and won Ballard coach-of-the-year honors in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
