Mules’ Hicks named to another All-Region Team
Michael Hicks added another honor to his resume recently, as he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches South Central Region All-District team.
Hicks played a key role in the Central Missouri State University Mules’ run to the MIAA regular season and postseason tournament titles. He was the Mules’ leading scorer and one of their top all-around players in 2004-05
A unanimous first-team All-MIAA pick and the MIAA Postseason Tournament Most Valuable Player, Hicks is poured in 16.9 points per game while hitting 45.7 percent of his shots (75-of-186, 40.3 percent from three-point range) and 87.2 percent from the free throw line (second-best in NCAA-II). He also pulled down 4.5 rebounds per game and dished out 63 assists while pulling 30 steals.
