Mules basketball inks five for 2006-07 season

The Central Missouri State Mules, who come off their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and 24-win season, have signed five student-athletes to play for the Cardinal & Black next season.
With the loss of senior All-American Michael Hicks along with starters Corey Brown and David Hilliard, CMSU had some spots to fill. Head coach Kim Anderson is excited about the potential of this class to carry on the Mules winning ways.
“We think this is an outstanding class and we know we had a lot to replace. However, these young men have the potential to help us continue to compete successfully in the MIAA and nationally.”
This season’s class includes a couple of post players, two combination guard/forwards and a guard. The common thread between all the players in this season’s class is the fact that they come from winning backgrounds.
“For the most part, winners figure out how to be successful, not only in basketball but also academically. We feel this is an essential ingredient in our program.”
