| Meet the Basketball Mules & Jennies Set For
Nov. 2 Warrensburg, Mo. (Oct. 26, 1999) -- Central Missouri
State University basketball fans can get an early look at the 1999-2000 Mules and Jennies
squads at the Meet the Mules and Jennies program scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the
CMSU Multipurpose Building. The Mules, beginning their fourth season under coach Don
Doucette, will conduct an intrasquad scrimmage beginning at 7 p.m. The Jennies, starting
their fifth campaign under coach Scott Ballard, will conduct their intrasquad scrimmage at
approximately 7:45 p.m. Also present that night will be the cheerleaders, Mulekickers, Pep
Band and MO the Mule. The event is open to the public with no admission charge.
Each team will also play an exhibition game prior to the official start of its
1999-2000 season. The Jennies will play St. Louis GoldStar, a team of former college
players, on Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. The Mules will play Dream Builders, also a team of former
college players, on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. Both games will be played at the CMSU Multipurpose
Building.
The Jennies officially begin their season in the University Inn Jennies Classic Nov.
19-20 at the Multipurpose Building. They will meet Grand Canyon University at 7:30 p.m. on
Nov. 19, while Lincoln University (Mo.) will play the University of Nebraska-Omaha at 5:30
p.m. in the first game on Nov. 19. The third-place and championship games will be played
at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively, on Nov. 20.
The Mules' 1999-2000 season opener will be Sunday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m. against Monmouth
College (Ill.). |
