Kym Caskey was named to the second team on the
2005
All-MIAA squad in voting
by the conference coaches. Caskey led the Jennies with a batting
average of .322, and a team-high eight homeruns and 25 RBI's. Two
other CMSU players received honorable mention on the all-conference squad:

The Jennies ended their 2005 season Friday, May 6th, at the
MIAA Tournament
in Shawnee, Kan., as they go 1-2 in the double elimination event. CMSU
fell to Missouri Western in their second elimination round
5-2,
despite three hits from Jenny Sherman. In their opening game on Friday,
CMSU dropped a
1-0
decision to
Pittsburg (Kan.) State
on a suicide squeeze bunt in the bottom of the seventh inning. The
Jennies bounced back in their first elimination round game to top
Missouri Southern
on a Kristy Furrer solo homerun
1-0. CMSU
finishes the season with a record
of 30-29.
