Desiree' Price, the only Jennies player to receive first-team recognition on the All-MIAA Softball squad announced on Monday, May 5th.  Price led the Jennies in most offensive categories including a team high .383 batting average, 64 hits, 16 doubles, five homeruns, and 25 runs batted in.  Other Jennies to receive All-MIAA honors:  Sissy Fletcher - 2nd team, Beth Blackburn, Mickey McCulloch, Laura Ruebhausen, and Thea Summers - Honorable Mention...More Info.

2003 All-MIAA Softball Team


The Jennies are eliminated from the MIAA Post-Season Tournament on Friday, May 2nd, in Gladstone, Mo., after falling 8-1 to Missouri Southern State College and 3-2 to Washburn (Ks.).  The Jennies, who finished the MIAA regular season in third place, closed out the season with a 32-21 record.

      Jennies head coach Rhesa Sumrell receives an autographed softball from her players after she  picked up her 700th career coaching victory on Sunday, March 23rd.  The coaching milestone came when the Jennies defeated Concordia University 7-0  during the Missouri Western "Round Robin" Tournament in St. Joseph, Mo., a city where Sumrell started her college head coaching career.
