Kristin Anderson named to Academic
All-America team
Central Missouri
State junior cross country/track & field standout Kristin
Anderson was recently honored for her academic achievement as well as her
running ability, as she was named third-team Academic All-American. The Academic All-America team is voted on by
members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Anderson,
a native of Richfield, Ohio, is a marketing major with a 3.96 grade-point
average. She was the individual winner
in the 2003 MIAA Cross Country Championships, and went on to earn All-America
honors at the 2004 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships by
placing second in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
She also got the job done on the conference level, as she won the 3000,
5000, and 3000-meter steeplechase at the MIAA Outdoor Championships.
