WALL NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

Junior Jarod Wall (Marshalltown, Iowa) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII First-Team this week and will be in the running for Academic All-America honors. He grabbed All-America honors after finishing 14th in the cross country national championships while maintaining a 3.97 GPA in accounting at CMSU.

Wall took third in the MIAA Cross Country Championships this season and, after sitting out the indoor track season due to mononucleosis, took second in the 5,000 and third in the 10,000 at the outdoor championships. In his career, Wall has been named All-MIAA 11 times and has won four conference titles (two in the indoor 3,000, one in the indoor 5,000, and one in cross country).

Wall has been named Academic All-MIAA two times and won Academic All-District accolades in 2003-04 for his work in the classroom.
