ANDERSON NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

Senior Kristin Anderson (Richfield, Ohio) keeps adding to her already impressive resume as she was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII Team. She was the outdoor national champion in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and carried a 3.97 GPA in Marketing at CMSU.

Anderson helped lead the Jennies to a sweep of the indoor, outdoor, and cross country titles for the first time since Truman State did it in 2000. She was the cross country MIAA champion, and high-point individual at both the indoor and outdoor conference meets. In the outdoor meet, she scored and incredible 38 points by winning the 3,000, the 10,000, the 3,000 meter steeplechase, and was second in the 5,000. Throughout her career, Anderson has been named All-MIAA 18 times. She was also an All-American in all three sports.

For her work in the classroom, Anderson has earned Academic All-MIAA honors three times, and was named to the Academic All-America team in 2003-04.
