MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll
for Track and Field announced
The Mules and Jennies Track and Field squads had 32 athletes named to the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll this week for their work in the classroom.
On the men's side, sophomores Steve Bransetter (chemistry major from Nevada, Mo.), Keith House (aviation major from Lone Jack, Mo.) and Jaban Moore (physical education major from Kansas City, Mo.), juniors Keith Carter (studio art major from Lee's Summit, Mo.), Jeremy Hammer (physical education major from Farmington, Mo.), Dennis Hill (criminal justice major from Moberly, Mo.), Ryan Irvin (electronics technology major from Topeka, Kan.), Thomas McCulloch (nursing major from Odessa, Mo.), Jason Parker (construction management major from Blue Springs, Mo.) were named along with seniors Matt Merrigan (public relations major from Lee's Summit, Mo.), Phil Soetart (industrial technology major from Smithville, Mo.), Tim Stolarski (criminal justice major from Ballwin, Mo.), and Jarod Wall (accounting major from Marshalltown, Iowa).
Named for the Jennies were sophomores Chandra Eads (physical education major from Kansas City, Mo.), Samantha Frisbie (photography major from Lawerence, Kan.) Elise Johnson (physical education major from Jefferson City, Mo.), Allison Kelley (english major from Independence, Mo.), Gina Kennison (elementary education major from Moberly, Mo.), Meagan O'Donnell (fashion design major from Kansas City, Mo.) and Dani Wagaman (elementary education major from Emerson, Iowa), along with juniors Laura Adams (elementary education major from Holt, Mo.), Alison Burns (elementary education major from Marshalltown, Iowa), Erin Carver (elementary education major from Freeman, Mo.), Jodi Donovan (athletic training major from St. Joseph, Mo.), Becky Haug (interior design major from Lee's Summit, Mo.), Catherine Rucker (physical education major from Springfield, Mo.) and Cody Varner (physical education major from Fayette, Mo.). Also earning honors were seniors Erin Brechue (public relations major from Warrensburg, Mo.), Jennifer Drum-Greer (criminal justice major from LaMonte, Mo.), triplets Erin (hotel and restaurant management major), Kirsten (speech pathology major), and Nicole (photography major) Hasemeier, from Elsberry, Mo.
To be named to the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll teams, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; must have at least two terms of attendance at the member school, excluding summer sessions; must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in athletic eligibility; and may not be inactive due to redshirt or hardship qualification.
