Jarod Wall named Academic All-American

Jarod Wall was named an Academic All-American for the second consecutive year as he was honored recently as a second-team selection to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Team for Men's Track & Field/Cross Country after receiving a third team selection last season.

A native of Marshalltown, Iowa, Wall has maintained a 3.97 grade-point average while majoring in accounting. He finished first at the MIAA Cross Country championships after finishing third last season.

Wall continued his success during the indoor season, winning the 5,000-meter run and finishing second in the 3,000 to help the Mules claim their second consecutive conference indoor title. He earned All-American honors at the indoor meet by placing eighth in the 5,000. He finished the season strong by winning the 5000 and 10,000 meter runs at the MIAA Outdoor Championships, which was Central Missouri's fifth title in the last six years

In his career, Wall has been named All-MIAA 16 times and has won eight conference titles (two in the indoor 3,000, two in the indoor 5,000, two in cross country, one in the outdoor 5,000 and one in the outdoor 10,000).

Wall has been named Academic All-MIAA three times and won Academic All-District accolades in 2003-04 for his work in the classroom.
