The Jennies had a total of five first-place performances to go along with strong finishes in several other events in scoring 199 points to win the women's division by 46 points.  Kristin Anderson won the 3000 Meter Run, 3000 Meter Steeplechase, and the 10,000 Meter Run, as well as finishing second in the 5000 Meter Run.  Lori Pitz (Heptathlon) and Robin Miller (High Jump) were the other Jennies conference champions.  The team championship was the first ever for the Jennies in MIAA outdoor competition.
The Mules fell a little short in their bid to repeat as men's outdoor champions in what was a very tight race.  Pittsburg (Kan.)
