Truman snaps Jennies win streak
The Jennies first match as the University of Central Missouri was not a good one on Wednesday evening as they were handled by fourth ranked Truman 3-0, ending the 11-match win streak.
UCM (15-3, 3-1 MIAA) scored no more than 22 points in any of the three games, including a 30-14 loss in the match opener. The Jennies fell 30-21 and 30-22 in the final two games to drop their first MIAA match of the year.
Offensively, the Jens were dismal, getting only 29 kills compared to 27 errors for a .016 hitting percentage. The leading player had only seven kills (Lauren Nuckolls) as all the offensive numbers were season lows. Truman ended the night with 53 kills and a .237 hitting percentage.
Central Missouri was led in assists by Ashlei Jandrey with 15 and in digs by Katie Tarka at 15.
