Mandy Feldmann, Emily Barr to Receive Crouch Scholarships

Warrensburg, Mo. (Oct. 27, 1999) -- Volleyball player Mandy Feldmann and softball player Emily Barr are this year's recipients of the Garrett and Sue Crouch Scholarships at Central Missouri State University. Mr. Crouch, who passed away earlier this year, was a former member of the university's board of regents and strong supporter of the Jennies' volleyball and softball programs. Mrs. Crouch remains an avid supporter of both programs.

The recipients of the Garrett and Sue Crouch Scholarships each year are selected by their respective head coaches, with the selection based on citizenship, character, and academic and athletic contributions to their respective teams.

Feldmann is a junior from Villa Ridge, Mo., while Barr is a junior from Overland Park, Kan. Feldmann has been a starter much of this season, as well as last season. She currently ranks third on the team in blocks.

A graduate of St. Francis Borgia High School, Feldmann is majoring in dietetics. Barr hit .293 in 24 games for the Jennies last spring. A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, she is majoring in dietetics.
