Mules fall to second ranked Central Oklahoma, 39-0
The Central Missouri Mat Mules were shut out by the second ranked Central Oklahoma Bronchos, 39-0 on Thursday evening at Garrison Gym in Warrensburg.
The dual began at 165 with UCM’s (8-10) Vince Bertucci losing by decision 12-9, it was the closest match of the evening. After the Bronchos (14-4) picked up another decision at 174, they proceeded to win the next five matches by major decision and pinfall. Mark Carey had a chance to put the Mules on the board at 149, trailing 3-2 with about a minute left, but eventually fell 6-3. UCO ended the dual with a major decision at 157.
Central Missouri will be back in action on Tuesday, February 13 against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Multi.
