Mules roll past Upper Iowa in home opener

Mike Hallam went 4 for 4, including a homerun
The Central Missouri Mules opened the home portion of their schedule with a bang today, taking out the Upper Iowa Peacocks 9-1 at Crane Stadium
Central Missouri scored a run in each of the first three innings on Friday, and led from start to finish. The Mules tore it open in the sixth frame though, scoring five runs. Junior designated hitter Mike Hallam continued to hit the hot bat, going 4-of-4 with four runs scored and two RBI. Senior right fielder Blaine Rutledge also got in on the offense, going 3-of-5 with a couple RBI. Senior third baseman Iain Dykins also blasted a two-run shot in the sixth.
Sophomore Danny Potje was solid on the mound as well, going seven innings and allowing only one run on six hits in the win and improving to 3-1.
