Mules fall at home to Drury

Ryan Romo gave the Mules a solid five inning effort out of the bullpen
Mules baseball (12-5, 7-3 MIAA) dropped the opener of a scheduled 13-game homestand Wednesday night, falling 15-7 to Drury (13-8, 4-0 GLVC) in the non-conference game at Crane Stadium-Tompkins Field.
Each team used seven pitchers in the game. Matt Curtis got the start for UCM but allowed four runs on four hits in four at bats, recording no outs in the first. Ryan Romo replaced Curtis in the first and was the most effective out of the bullpen for the Mules, pitching five innings and allowing only three hits and one run. Aaron Brett faced two batters but gave up two runs on one hit and recorded the loss for Central Missouri. Stewart Hoover hit a grand slam homerun in the first for UCM to highlight the Mules offensive night. Will Feil picked up two hits, scored twice and drove in a run for the Mules.
