The Central Missouri Mules baseball squad pounded out 22 hits en route to a 19-10 win over Missouri-St. Louis on Wednesday afternoon.

The Mules (22-9) got started right off the start with a leadoff homer to center field from junior Chance Tuttle. He hit the first of five homers for UCM on the day. Tuttle went 5-of-6 in the outing, including a game-high five RBI. Sophomore Colin Murphy also got going with a 5-of-5 performance, driving in three runs and scoring four.

The Mules jumped out to a 7-0 lead before the Tritons could get on the board in the third off UCM starter Ryan Dawson. He got the win via a predetermined start in three innings. Eight different Mules pitchers and 27 players got time in the game.

Central Missouri’s biggest lead came in the eighth, when they tallied five runs to make it 19-7. The Tritons scored seven of their runs in the final three frames.
