Coach Myers Says: Colin is one of the few position players on this team with MIAA experience. He is one of our most competitive players. He fits our style of play really well. Offensively, he was outstanding in every area this fall. He understands how to hit and how to play. Defensively, he improved and brings experience, a strong arm, and toughness to the field. He earned the opening day start at second base.
As a Freshman: Saw action in 27 games, starting 12... Played second base in most of his appearances.
In High School: Earned all-conference and all-district all four years of his high school career for head coach Jeff Klein... was the 2005 conference player of the year, grabbing all state and all-metro that season as well... in 2007 he was an all-state and all-metro first-team pick as well... helped the squad to the 2004 conference and 2007 sectional titles.
Personal: Physical education major ... born January 22, 1989 ... son of Scott and Terri Murphy.
