Coach Myers Says: Cory was very impressive in his first fall here. He is a very confident and competitive player. Defensively, he has great feet and a strong throwing arm. He has worked hard this fall and showed the ability to be a leader on the field. Offensively, he showed promise at the plate and gets on base. He will work pitchers, take advantage of mistakes, and find ways to score runs.
In High School: Played for head coach Steve Bushnell at Seaman High School, winning four regional titles, three league titles, and two state championships... A four-year letterman, he also earned all-city, and all-league honors twice... He was all-state as a senior and played in the Kansas All-State All-Star Game... Also lettered in basketball, and twice in football.
Personal: Chemistry major ... born October 9, 1989 ... son of Phillip and Tricia Deedrick.
