Coach Myers Says: John is a highly competitive player. He enjoys the challenges in this game. He was used as a utility player in the fall and played well in that role. Offensively, he hit extremely well and fits the system. As he develops, he has a chance to be great player.
In High School: A versatile, two-sport athlete at Rockhurst High School, he was a second-team all-state selection as a senior, hitting .470 and leading the team to a district title... As a junior for head coach Jim Degraw, he had a .560 average... Also played football helping the team to a state championship.
Personal: Construction Management major ... born October 18, 1989... son of George Calhoun and Peggy Calhoun.
