Coach Myers Says: Ryan transferred from USC-A, and was coming off Tommy John Surgery. He was continuing his rehabilitation when he got here. Once he was ready to pitch, he was really good for us. He has a great sinker and change up. He showed signs of regaining his slider and was able to really pitch with that. He has great presence and maturity on the mound. He should see action out of the bullpen.
Before UCM: Played for head coach Kenny Thomas at USC-Aiken from 2005-07, sitting out in 2008 while recovering from Tommy Johns Surgery... helped the Pacers to three NCAA-II regional appearances and a Peach Belt Conference title in 2007... Had a 2.53 ERA (10 inn.) that season and a 1.42 ERA (13.2 inn.) in 2006... Attended Hartsville High School, lettering four years for head coach Corey Lewis.
