Las Vegas, Nev. * Feather River C.C.
Coach Myers on Chris Brown: A player that could see time at many positions on the field… he showed really well at first base… Chris is an aggressive hitter that shows good command of the strike zone… we look for him to hit in the middle of our order and a valuable run producer.
As a Junior: Saw action at designated hitter, first base and catcher... was injured during the early season... Went 3-for-3 with four RBI and three runs against FHSU on April 14...Also had a 4-of-4 performance against Missouri Southern, hitting two doubles and tallying three RBI on April 28.
Before UCM: Brown led Feather River C.C. and was eighth in the state of California with a .428 average in the 2006 season... he had 12 doubles and stole 20 bases while earning Golden Valley Conference Most Valuable Player honors. Also a junior college All-American, Brown hit an outstanding .512 in conference action for coach Reed Peters. He was an award-winning athlete at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev. as well, playing both baseball and basketball... he helped them to three conference and two district titles on the diamond.
Personal: Physical Education major ... born June 19, 1984 ... son of Stephen and Debra Brown.
