Coach Myers on Chris Joblin: A blue collar kid that works extremely hard and has a great feel for the game… he showed he can play multiple positions on the infield and is a good team player.
As a Junior: Started off the season hot, playing second base and DH before cooling off in conference play to hit only .281... hit a homer against Missouri Western (Apr 1)... also had multiple hit games against Truman (Apr 18) and Missouri Southern (Apr 29).
Before UCM: Helped Lamar Community College to a couple Region IX titles and and two tournament championships... went to Eagle High School and earned conference player of the year honors as a senior and all-conference as a junior... he was a three-year starter and helped the team to a state runner-up finish as a junior and a state title as a senior with a 29-1 record... the squad was actctually ranked No. 26 in the nation... Joblin played in the Cascafe Classic All-Star Game and the Southern Idaho Conference All-Star Game... he also played football as a junior, helping the team to a perfect 12-0 mark and a state championship.
