Coach Myers on Iain Dykins: After the fall, I can see why he was an All-American as a junior… not only does he show plus power at the plate, he consistently hit the ball hard to all fields and is a solid defender at third base.

As a Junior: Was a first-team All-MIAA selection ... first team all-region selection... honorable mention Daktronics All-American ... the Mules everyday third baseman, he ranked second on the team with a .377 batting average, 63 RBI, 14 homers and 19 doubles... also grabbed NCAA Central Regional All Tournament team honors for his play there... got better as the season progressed, hitting .403 in MIAA and postseason play... Went 4-of-5 against Truman (Apr 3) and 4-of-4 against Missouri Southern (Apr 28)...also belted two home runs against Fort Hays State with four RBI (Apr 14)... had another two homer game against Emporia State (May 13).

Before UCM: A first-team all-conference performer at Feather River Community College, Dykins was invited to the Northern California All-Star Showcase last year... he also helped head coach Reed Peters squad to the Golden Valley Conference title in 2005... at Wooster High School in Reno, he was a first-team all conference pick at third base and an honorable mention selection at shortstop, helping the squad to a state title in 2002. He was also a second-team all conference quarterback for the football team and was voted offensive most valuable player. Dykins was a national High School Heisman nominee.

Personal: Corporate Fitness major ... born May 2, 1986 ... son of Stuart and Allison Dykins
