Pat Evers37 - Pat Evers

Pitching Coach

Pat Evers begins his first season as pitching coach of the Mules after wearing the Cardinal & Black as a player in 2005.

Previously, Coach Evers served as pitching coach at Florissant Valley CC in St. Louis, MO. In his first year at Florissant Valley the pitching staff saw increases in wins, strikeouts, and ERA.

During the summer Evers also served as pitching coach of the Duluth Huskies in the prestigious Northwoods League. His pitching staff ranked second in the league and included three pitchers who were ranked in BaseballAmerica’s Northwoods League Top 10 prospects list.

Coach Evers played collegiately at Forest Park CC, where he helped lead the team to a couple regional championships as well as a World Series appearance in 2001.

He finished his collegiate career at Central Missouri, helping the 2005 team to a third place national finish and school record tying 57 wins. Evers went 1-0 with a 1.75 ERA in 28 appearances for the Mules and was one of seven pitchers from the 2005 team to move on to professional baseball. After graduation, he played two seasons with the River City Rascals of the Independent Frontier League where he set franchise records for single season and career saves.

The St. Louis, Mo. native handles recruiting duties as well as the pitching staff. He is currently working on his master’s degree at UCM.
