Coach Myers on Peter Davenport: Peter showed good command of his fastball and slider this fall… he pitched well to both sides of the plate…We look for him to get a lot of innings this spring.
As a Junior: Saw all his 12 appearances in a relief role, logging a save and taking a loss against CBU.
Before UCM: Davenport went 5-2 with a 3.20 earned run average as a freshman and 2-6 with a 3.68 ERA in 57 innings as a sophomore at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan... he is a graduate of Lexington (Mo.) High School where he lettered three times on the diamond and earned Missouri Class 2A All-State honors as a senior... He finished his career as Lexington High’s all-time leader in wins, strike outs, and ERA, and added three letters in football and four in basketball... also played in the Missouri East vs. West All-Star Game.
