According to coach Myers: He had a good fall for a freshman and was very willing to learn… we look to get Eric playing time at different positions, including experience behind the plate… he is a confident player that shows the leadership capabilities to be a catcher for the future… we like his power, and potential to hit for a high average at the plate.
In High School: Lettered four years for head coach Jeff Diekman... a four-time all-conference pick, three-time all-district selection, and a two-time all metro player, he helped his squad to a couple conference titles and a district cahmpionship... He was also selected to the Junior SunBelt All-Star Team... He also earned all-conference honors on the football field, lettering two times.
