According to coach Myers: Kyle has pitched a lot of innings in college… he understands how to change speeds and keep hitters off balance… he should be a big part of our pitching staff this spring.
Before UCM: Was named the team MVP last season for head coach Kent Shelley at Johnson County Community College... He had a 7-3 record with a 2.68 ERA in 73 innings pitched... also recorded 45 strikeouts to 18 walks... He attended Blue Springs High School, playing for coach Brad Mayfield... was named all-conference, all-metro, and all district as both a junior and senior while garnering all-state honors as a junior... his squad won the conference title all four years... was selected to the fifth district all-star game in legion ball... also played football, grabbing all-conference two seasons and winning the state title in 2003.
