Jennies claim Music City Classic title
Jennies display their championship trophy
The fourth ranked University of Central Missouri bowling squad pulled out a narrow two-pin title at the Music City Classic this weekend in Columbia, Tennessee. They edged No. 3 Vanderbilt for the title with 10,083 total pins, compared to 10,081 for the Commodores.
The Jens went 10-2 overall and rolled through bracket play. They had to defeat VU in the final frame with a 290 Baker match score in the last match of the tournament.
Jamie Mitchell, Alyssa Surges, and Bryanna Caldwell finished sixth, seventh, and ninth overall in the tournament.
The Music City 300 featured 21 teams from around the country and 14 of the top 16 ranked teams in the nation, making the Jennies’ win that much more impressive.
