Seven named NTCA All-Academic
Seven members of the Jennies 08-09 squad have recieved All-Academic honors from the National Tenpin Coaches Association.
Alyssa Surges leads the way by being named to the second-team, and Natalie Cortese was selected to the third-team.
Named honorable mention were Amanda Cortese, Jamie Mitchell, Robin Noland, Rachel Rothermel, and Allison Scully

Jennies finish second at NCAA Championships
The Jennies made their third trip to the NCAA National Championship match on Saturday, April 11th, but fell for the third time to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, 4-1. The match was televised live on ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN 360, while the replay on Sunday was shown on ESPN.
The Jennies played for seeding on Thursday, and came into the eight-team double elimination bracket as the sixth seed.
Qualifying Standings
Bracket play started on Friday, and Central Missouri knocked off defending national champion Maryland-Eastern Shore 4-0 in the first round. They fell to Delaware State by a 4-1 margin in the second round, but came back to win their final two matches of the day to advance to semifinal Saturday. UCM took out Vanderbilt 4-0, and defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 4-2 to set up a rematch the next day at 4:00 p.m.
In the national semifinal, the Jens went down 2-0 to FDU, but stormed back to tie it up. FDU took the next game, but Central Missouri rallied to win the final two games and advance to play the Cornhuskers in the national championship match.
Nebraska took the first game before the Jennies tied it up, but the Cornhuskers railed off the last three games to win the national title.
Central Missouri finished the season with an 88-38 overall mark.
