Jennies announce two more signees

The University of Central Missouri women’s bowling team and Head Coach Ron Holmes announced the addition of two student-athletes to the 2009-10 class to compete for the Jennies next season.

“We are very excited to be adding Natalie and Brittany to our program.” Said Head Coach Ron Holmes. “Natalie is a tremendous addition to our team and will make an immediate impact.  Brittany adds great experience and depth to our group of young and talented student-athletes in 2009.  Both players will be wonderful players here at UCM and will be important contributors to our future success.”

Natalie Jimenez

Rowland Heights, Calif.  *  J.A. Rowland High School

Jimenez is currently No. 1 in the nation among youth females competing on USBC Sport Bowling conditions… She was selected to the 2009 California All-Star Team, was chosen as a Nation’s Top 50 High School Prospect by Bowler’s Journal, and finished 18th at the 2008 Teen Masters event… She also won the 2008 California Pepsi Championships and the California Scratch All-Events Championships in 2006 and 2007… She finished 35th at the 2008 Team USA Trials and she is a five-time qualifier for the USBC Jr. National Championships, making the semifinals each of the last three years… A multiple-time champion of the Southwest Junior Scratch Tour, she has a career high game of 300, high series of 776, and a Sport League average of 201… Jimenez earned National Honor Society accolades in 2007-08 for her work in the classroom… She is the daughter of Joe and Tommie Jimenez.

Brittany Potts

Saginaw, Mich.  *  Swan Valley High School

A four-year varsity player during her high school career, she led the Vikings to Michigan State High School Championship events in 2007 and 2008… She qualified as an individual in 2006 and 2009, with her team winning the 2008 Michigan Girls’ Championship title… Potts was a four-time all-state selection, earning first team honors in 2007 and 2008, and was a second team selection in 2006 and 2009… She was also named to the 2009 Detroit Free Press and Saginaw News Dream Teams… In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she earned National Honor Society accolades in 2009, graduating Magna Cum Laude… Potts has a career high game of 279, high series of 740, and high average of 205… She is the daughter of Steven Potts and will major in psychology at UCM.
