Mules have 21 student-athletes named to
2007 MIAA Academic Honor Roll
The University of Central Missouri Mules football team had success in the classroom as well, with 21 players named to the MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll last week.
The following football players were named to the conference honor roll: seniors John Books majoring in physical education, Matt Frankel accounting, Matt Oschner business administration, Cody Raithel finance and Kendall Ricketts safety management. Juniors named to the squad were Neil Barnes majoring in physical education, Mike Dillon physical education, Steven Ehase management, Spencer Foster management, Mike Gunselman criminal justice, Tyler Nay nursing, Adrian Singletary social studies and Spencer Webb in physical education. Sophomores Jace Butterworth majoring in biology, Eric Czerniewski management, LaVance Dotson management, Robert Hicklin chemistry, Layne Kreter construction management, Kevin Maschmeyer agricultural business, David Mazar finance, and Marc Tiernan majoring in physical education rounded out the squad for the Mules.
To be selected to student-athletes had to meet the following criteria: 1. must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; 2. must have at least two semesters of attendance at the member school, excluding summer sessions; 3. must be a sophomore, junior or senior in athletic eligibility, 4. cannot be a redshirt or under hardship qualifications.
