wins, on the way to a 10-2 record and a number
17 ranking in
the final AFCA Division II Poll.

Mules center John Young gives head coach
Willie Fritz a hug to celebrate the Mineral
Water Bowl victory. Young received recognition
on five "post-season" teams, including the most
recent honor as a Third-Team pick on the 2001
Football Gazette All-American Team.
Earlier, Young, a 6-2 senior from Kansas City, Mo.,
was named to the following:
Daktronics,
Inc., Division II All-American Team.

All-American Team
Division
II All-Midwest Region Team.
(Kevin Nickerson and Lee Thompson were also
All-Midwest Region selections.)
John Young also was a first-team, All-MIAA selection.
